		<description>I remember like it was yesterday, my dad popping popcorn on the stove in a pot with a lid.

Just a little crisco and off it went. The lid always came up about an inch as the popcorn exceeded its capacity!!!

		<description>You&#039;re too funny.  It seems odd to me that this popcorn popper is odd to you.  It is very much a family tradition to have this type of popper.  All of your future MIL siblings have a similar popper, as do Nana &amp; Papa.  Be sure to keep an eye out for one on your thrift shop adventures.  I am the keeper of Nathaniel&#039;s great-great-grandmother&#039;s popper. It still makes the BEST popcorn ever.</description>
