Mock Filet Mignon Recipe

mock filet mignon recipe

I’ve never actually had filet mignon (I just started eating beef a year ago, remember?) so I have no idea if this recipe is true to its name. What I do know is that it’s easy, absolutely delicious, and everbody loves it.

Mock Filet Mignon
1 1/2 pounds ground beef
2 cups cooked rice
1 cup chopped onion
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp pepper
6 bacon strips

1) Combine all ingredients except the bacon.

2) Shape into six patties and wrap a strip of bacon around each patty.

3) Bake at 450° for 20 minutes.

That’s it. It’s that easy. You probably can’t pass it off as actual filet mignon, but you can mock filet mignon all the way to the bank – this stuff is delicious AND cheap!

Well now, my hubby will try anything new with bacon, so I think I’ll have to give this one a go! Thanks!
