The Chocolate Diaries Book Review

The Chocolate Diaries by Karen Scalf Linamen promises “secrets for a sweeter journey on the rocky road of life.” Mixing recipes with quirky stories and advice, The Chocolate Diaries is like Chicken Soup for the Soul…with cocoa.

The recipes are to-die-for, although that’s to be expected from the woman who has also authored Just Hand Over the Chocolate and No One Will Get Hurt and Chocolatherapy: Satisfying the Deepest Cravings of Your Inner Chick. What really won me over about this book were the stories and life lessons imparted in each chapter. A Christian book, each chapter applies scriptural takeaways to real-life situations and experiences that the author has had. I’d definitely recommend this to any woman going through a hard time or looking for a bit of inspiration.
