I mentioned earlier that I’m giving back this holiday season through Champions for Kids by donating stockings to children who may not otherwise receive anything My family chooses a different charitable project each year, and I have a ton of fun with our tradition of giving back. I headed on over to Walmart to see if I could find some toys to make a kid’s holiday a little bit brighter this season. Walmart had a huge variety of fun Disney stocking stuffers for a great price!
There were really cute toys (just like ones I had when I was a kid…it actually made me a wee bit nostalgic) for both boys and girls.
Is it just me, or are Cars characters EVERYWHERE this season?
I was inspired by these classic Mickey and Minnie stockings, so I decided to try my hand at a crafty version. I always like to DIY some part of my gifts to make things more personal (and spending less on gift packaging items like stocking stuffers leaves more money for actual gifts).
Three dollars worth of felt and a few minutes with the scissors and Elmer’s Glue All…voila! What do you think?
